Description:
ICM completed an extensive project located in a resort area just north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, adjacent to the Red Sea. ICM's assignment was to create a luxurious lagoon for a resident's private palace on beachfront property.
The finished product included two life sustaining lagoons covering half an acre, as well as installation of large, artificial, fossilized, aquatic dinosaur. The dinosaur was placed in a wall partition adjacent to the lagoon, lending a "themed" tribute to Saudi Arabia's prehistoric beginnings.
One of the lagoons features an acrylic window, which dams a wall of the lagoon, creating a magnificent underwater view of the sea life.
The lagoons have a 1,324,750 liter capacity. The life support system installed pulls 13,247 liters of water per minute directly out of the adjacent Red Sea, at a depth of approximately 31 meters. The water flows through the lagoons and is then returned to the Red Sea. |
