Phase 1: Concept Development & Planning
Our Goal: Understand the client's vision, set specific goals and objectives and develop a project implementation plan and construction budget to achieve them.
Key Steps:
- Review drawings and initial plans to develop conceptual ideas and alternatives
- Inspect site to determine construction feasibility
- Analyze preliminary budget for project construction to determine feasibility
- Create final routing plan based on client review and refinement
- Develop conceptual exhibit, select species or theme and identify other construction program elements
- Analyze final budget and refine based on final concept
- Build implementation team of industry experts
Phase 2: Concept Refinement & Construction Documentation Development
Our Goal: Begin to bring the client's vision to life by refining the conceptual plan, developing the construction documents and initiating the tender process.
Key Steps:
- Refine conceptual construction program elements
- Develop renderings, scale models and method statements for client's review and approval
- Create a full set of drawings for project construction
- Provide a full set of construction specifications
- Produce a full set of bid forms that define the scope of work
- Consult with the client during the bid and tender process
Phase 3: Design Implementation During Construction
Our Goal: Realize client's vision by working closely with the project team in the field to ensure the best implementation of project construction documents.
Key Steps:
- Supervise construction on-site
- Provide hands-on attention to theme development, commission and start-up
- Train and consult as needed during commission
